Performances for Hospitals and Healthcare Settings Our mini performances are tailored for hospital wards and healthcare settings and aim to bring the very best South Asian dance and music to patients and their families.
See our proud and majestic peacock and our prim and pretty princess roam the wards. Watch them compete for attention from each other and the patients - both are elegant and beautiful so who will manage outdo the other? With stunning costumes and expressive movement, this interactive dance performance is a visual treat for all ages.
Elnaz the Elephant, Dholli the Drummer and Maalini the garden guardian are the best of friends and absolutely love music and dance. When Dholli starts playing, Elnaz and Maalini can’t stop themselves from dancing along! With live music and beautiful costumes Elnaz and Dholli lift the spirits of everyone they meet!
A softer sound version is available when the drum is replaced with the flute or other quieter instruments (subject to availability)
Our two musicians have a beautiful cart full of incredible musical instruments from the Indian subcontinent, and they can’t wait to share them with you. Enjoy the sounds, rhythms and melodies of these incredible instruments in this uplifting and energising experience!
Our beautiful and upbeat dance performances are inspired by traditional Indian folk dance but specially choreographed for wards and hospital settings. With vibrant costumes and interesting props our dancers bring joy to audiences of all ages!
We can deliver relaxed and engaging South Asian music and dance participatory performances at your Care Home or Day Centre. These beautiful, nostalgic and uplifting hour-long sessions will include fun and gentle interactive elements. Artists will be dressed in beautiful vibrant traditional costume and accompanied by live music and colourful props to create special moments, stimulate memory, and provide new methods of expression.
We have extensive experience of working with elders in care homes and day centres, including those with Parkinson’s, Dementia and the critically ill. Over the years, we have partnered with many organisations including: Alzheimer’s Solihull Café, Apna Ghar, Sampad, Black Country Touring and People Dancing to share high-quality South Asian arts experiences to elders of all backgrounds.
