Sessions include:

Participants will have a chance to learn this surprising musical vocabulary.
  • Introduction to a range of musical instruments of the Indian subcontinent e.g. tabla, sitar, harmonium, tampuras including their the history, construction, and physics of how they work.
  • Demonstration of the techniques needed to play each instrument and each participant has the chance to have a go and try out different sounds, rhythms and melodies.
