Bantock House ( May 2007)
Sonia Sabri Company and Black Country Touring in partnership with Wolverhampton Arts and Museums Service present:

Weaving Paths (through time)

A union of two halves .. Intricately formed.. Here… of a time before

Come and see dance as you’ve never seen it before.
Come and see the House as you’ve never seen it before.

Sonia Sabri Company will be resident at Bantock House from 30 April – 20 May, creating new work in response to the House, decor and gardens. The Company will be working in many spaces around the House and garden, creating dance and music in relation to the different spaces. Sonia uses (north Indian) Kathak dance to create movement, which will be in turn complemented by South Asian music and contrasted by western instrumentation.

The Company will be making the work in public and will be seen by visitors to the House. Visitors can also talk and interact with the Company whilst they are working on-site during the residency.

Visitors are welcome to attend during opening hours over the three-week period to see the Company. The summer opening hours for Bantock House are from Tuesday – Sunday, 11am – 5pm. There will be short performances on: Sunday 6th, 13th May 2007 at 2, 3, and 4pm; and on Sunday 20th May at 1, 2, 3 and 4pm.

From the M5, M6 and M54 follow signs for Wolverhampton. Bantock House and Park is 1 mile out of the City and well sign posted from the Ring Road, or take the 513 or 543 buses from the City Centre.

There is ample parking adjacent to the House for cars and coaches.

Bantock House is fully accessible for visitors with disabilities.
